First stop is Suzhou Museum. It has been a highly-regarded regional museum with a number of significant Chinese cultural relics. The new Suzhou museum designed by world famous architect I.M.Pei with the area of over 10,700 square metres. Not only does the museum become a monumental design building in Suzhou, but also a significant construction, merging the traditional Chinese architectural design with the future.
Then go to Suzhou Folk Custom Museum. This museum is a professional museum engaged in collecting and exhibiting the historical relics of the local folk custom with an emphasis on the display of the folk custom of the ancient city. The building of the museum features the architectural style of the Qing Dynasty.
Lunch will be arranged at a local Chinese restaurant, which serves traditional Suzhou food.
After lunch, continue your tour to Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory. It is a one hundred year old state-owned factory in Suzhou, the silk city in China. It gains a good reputation in China silk for its traditional skills to make silk and the exhibitions of culture and history of silk in China.
Move on to Master of Nets Garden. This garden is the most impressive one because of its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. The Master of the Nets Garden is a typical Suzhou residential garden, recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The garden demonstrates Chinese garden designers' adept skills for synthesizing art, nature, and architecture to create unique metaphysical masterpieces.
The last stop is Ouyuan Garden. Ouyuan Garden features the most beautiful scenic spots and is laid out appropriately. This garden tells a sad and beautiful love story of Shen Bingcheng and his wife, thus, in the Garden, everything comes in pairs depicting the couples love for each other.
