The bird and flower market on Pishi Jie is one of the main bird and flower markets in the Shanghai and Jiangsu area. There are all kinds of flowers, birds, fish, insects and pets on sale, as well as a good number of antique vendors, too. There are actually 4 bird and flower markets in Suzhou. The one on Pishi Jie is the largest and most well-known of all. The Pishi Jie bird and flower market is located on Renmin Lu East, approximately 300 meters north of the Guanqian Jie pedestrian zone. The market is the only market with historical value that sells pets and antiques in the ancient city area. It sells flowers, bonsai, fish, birds, mahogany crafts, ceramics, stones, jade, and all sorts of antiques.
